Chelsea manager Thomas Tuchel has confirmed that N’Golo Kante and Christian Pulisic are still unavailable for the team’s clash against Zenit on Tuesday.

Both players are close to returning to the field. Blue lions can again, but Tuchel’s latest revelations indicate that the Champions League game against Zenit on Tuesday, both Kante and Tuchel are not ready yet.

“Christian didn’t train with us today,” said the German.

“We’ve said before that we hope he comes back after the international game and to give him 10 days to train and recover before he’s back on the pitch. He is still in the process of rehabilitating and practicing solo. So he’s not ready.

“N’Golo trained two sessions yesterday and trained again today. But the Champions League game was too early for him. We won’t risk it right now.

“We have decided that he can train again tomorrow. He will then have time to rest and return to training with us on Friday for Sunday’s game against Tottenham.”
